Day Two: Saigon

A Vietnamese breakfast

Photobucket

To me, there is nothing better than a loaf of freshly baked bread. For breakfast, two swollen loaves greet my greedy eyes. A thin crunchy crust beheld the light cotton candy insides that is the hallmark of the French-influenced Vietnamese bread rolls. The light fluffy bread, smothered in strawberry conserves or stuffed with scrambled eggs and paired with an iced coffee so strong it punched me awake with its caffiene jolt to the heart is the perfect start to a day.
